As a result of the White House taking away a CNN journalistrs press pass, CNN filed a lawsuit against the Trump Administration citing the White Housers action violated CNN and their journalistrs First Amendment rights of freedom of the press, and their Fifth Amendment rights to due process. CNN felt that if this action was left unchallenged it could negatively affect other journalists who cover elected officials. Bradbury vehemently denied that he was satirically commenting on McCarthy or government censorship. Instead, Bradbury insisted the book was written at the beginning of the television age and was a tale to warn society of how they could well reach to television as a sort of drug. Fahrenheit 451, Bradbury said, was a depiction of a society willfully dumbing itself down by staring at screens, stuffing its collective consciousness with useless factoids, empty ideas and throwaway reality. Bradbury wrote about a future where technology drove people to block themselves from the world around them, disconnected from each other, and no longer valued books. It is troubling that today there are television commercials having to remind parents to engage with their children by reading, talking and singing to them from a very early age to better prepare their kids for school. The commercial shows a parent engrossed on her cell phone and ignoring her child. Fahrenheit 451 argues in favor of literature and critical thinking and against censorship and blind conformity. In Fahrenheit 451 (168), it was noted that from a young age Bradbury was affected by accounts of the burning of the ancient library at Alexandria and the loss of many classical works that we now know only by title or through fragments of surviving parchment. Based on todayrs society, Bradburyrs prediction of a world without actual books is not too far off. Government budget cuts result in less support for public libraries and online books now replace actual books you can touch. Bradbury experienced opposition since Fahrenheit 451 was published in 1953, which is kind of funny that a book about banned books experienced censorship. In the ThoughtCo.com article written on August 4, 2018, it noted that one of Bradburyrs plays was sent to a university to be produced; however, the university had a co ncern that there were no female characters in the play. The university did not state any issues with the content of the play or the fact that there was a reason it featured only men. The play was not produced and was in effect censored because it did not want to offend a certain group at the school: women. In closing, censorship has been around for a long time and was a thought that preceded the United States Constitution; hence, the First Amendment. Censorship silences peoplers opinions, ideas and forces moral and ethical values on society. Some people believe censorship is a violation of their First Amendment right and others believe censorship is needed to protect peoplers well-being in a world filled with violence and abusive behavior. All media needs to have checks and balances to ensure the information being published is accurate so that people, and not the government, can choose to be exposed to the appropriate awareness of society, and the world in general, as it really exists and not like the dystopian world of Fahrenheit 451. It is important that we understand both of these theories in order to fully understand the way that technology is shaping our thinking and our identities as individuals. Several people have been using this form of media as it is relatively cheap and also it connects people from different countries and backgrounds bringing them together. Some individuals have always viewed Facebook as the best way in which many people would be able to communicate to each other easily without any barrier mainly using the Facebook platform(Acquisti, Gross, Stutzman, 2011). The invention came under the influence of certain situation like the need for communication and sharing of ideas around the globe that made it to come to development. These situations across the globe have made it possible for the way of communication to develop at large and improve on the way people are using it. However these situations that led to the development of Facebook have increased or led to some arguments among many people(Boyd, 2008). Many people have come up with different arguments concerning the Facebook platform. Decision of Adding Frances flag on Facebook There was a decision that was made by the managers of Facebook to add the France flag on Facebook. The issue of flags came upon the attacks that had been made in some countries including France and Lebanon. The terrorists made attacks on these countries leading the death and mass destruction in these countries. The countries that were largely affected were Lebanon and France; Paris attack(Ellison, Steinfield, Lampe, 2011). There had been an attack on Lebanon before an attack was carried out in Paris. These attacks affected many victims who were later on to be encouraged by placing their flag on Facebook. However, it was decided that Frances flag was the one that was to be added on Facebook. I do not support the decision of applying France flag on Facebook as a better decision by the management of Facebook. I have some reasons as to why it was not a wise decision as to why it was necessary to apply France flag. The reasons include; It was not fare to Lebanon nation; Lebanon had been attacked early before France attack. It was necessary to put Lebanon flag first than France to be able to make the victims in Lebanon to feel part of the activity. It was for self-gain; The Facebook management was only considering France and did not think of the other nations that had also experienced the same attack making it to give France more advantage than other countries. I therefore do not support the decision of the application of the France flag on Facebook. Biased Behavior After seeing that only Frances flag was the one applied on Facebook, we have to determine whether the decision that had been made for this application is a biased decision. I think it was a biased decision for only applying the France flag and not Lebanon flag. Lebanon nation had been attacked before then later on France was attacked(Park, Kee, Valenzuela, 2009). This makes the two nations to be equal and should be given the same opportunities but Lebanon is not treated the same as France. This made the Lebanon nation not feel any involvement in Facebook, as they were considered inferior than France. A good example is of the individual who identified this act as a form of self- involvement masquerading as empathy for others. This individual implies that it was not fare to only apply the France flag and not including Lebanon flag on Facebook. Facebook Safety Check This is an added feature that was included by the Facebook aiming at assisting several victims that had been affected(Lampe, Ellison, Steinfield, 2008). Facebook developed a new feature that they wanted to engage the victims that had been affected by terrorists bombing the France nation. This feature was added to the people of France after the application of their flag on Facebook. I think the application of safety check that had been put in place by Facebook was a good move. This was necessary because the company had started to develop and they ought to give the best results to their users. By coming up with this idea, they brought in many people together who were feeling part and parcel of the activity especially after the bombings that had taken place. Privacy with Facebook I think the use of Facebook has invaded our privacy as the users. It has greatly affected the way of our lives more so our private lives. It has affected the privacy in that an individual cannot have something private himself or herself(Lillqvist Louhiala-Salminen, 2014). The many other individuals who are also using Facebook can see anything that you are carrying out on Facebook. This makes us not to have privacy for our own information thus Facebook has invaded our private lives. It has also invaded our privacy in that any activity we are carrying is shared with many other users. Facebook has also allowed some security firms and organizations to collect some certain information without the consent. Donald Woods and the Death of Activist Steve Biko Donald Woods (born December 15, 1933, died August 19, 2001) was a South African anti-apartheid activist and journalist. His coverage of Steve Bikos death in custody led to his exile from South Africa. His books exposed case and were the basis of the movie, Cry Freedom. Early Life Woods was born in Hobeni, Transkei, South Africa. He was descended from five generations of white settlers. While studying law at the University of Cape Town, he became active in the anti-apartheid Federal Party. He worked as a journalist for newspapers in the United Kingdom before returning to South Africa to report for the Daily Dispatch. He became the editor-in-chief in 1965 for the paper that had an anti-apartheid editorial stance and a racially integrated editorial staff. Uncovering the Truth About the Death of Steve Biko When the South African black consciousness leader Steve Biko died in police custody in September 1977, journalist Donald Woods was at the forefront of the campaign to get the truth revealed about his death. At first, the police claimed that Biko had died as the result of a hunger strike. The inquest showed that hed died of brain injuries received while in custody and that hed been kept naked and in chains for a prolonged period before his death. They ruled it held that Biko had died as a result of injuries received after a scuffle with members of the security police in Port Elizabeth. Woods Accuses the Government over Bikos Death Woods used his position as editor of the Daily Dispatch newspaper to attack the Nationalist government over Bikos death. He stuck on a stage moustache and dyed my grey hair black and then climbed over the back fence, to escape to Lesotho. He hitchhiked some 300 miles and swam across the flooded Tele River to get there. His family joined him, and from there they went to Britain, where they were granted political asylum. In exile, he wrote several books and continued campaigning against apartheid. The movie Cry Freedom was based his book Biko. After 13 years in exile, Woods visited South Africa in August 1990, but never returned to live there. In the book, Alice in Wonderland written by Lewis Carroll, there is no exception. The characters Alice, the White Rabbit, and the Cheshire-Cat are all positive characters in the story and the Queen of Hearts is the villain or the negative character in Wonderland. Positive characters can be identified in the story of Alice in Wonderland by their personalities and how each character interacts with one another. Lewis Carroll only made one distinctive negative character and the rest he made either positive characters or characters that are Just in the middle. Most of the characters in the ook are middle characters that do not have a good or bad sense of personality. Negative characters can be identified by color and personality as well. The Queen of Hearts for instance is represented by the color red with represents fury and anger. That describes the Queen perfectly. Alice is a positive character in the story of Alice in Wonderland. She is the main character of the story. Lewis Carroll does a good Job of portraying Alice as a young curious and well mannered lady. Youth and innocence can describe Alice as a positive character. He is timid, old, punctual, and often nervous. The White Rabbit can be seen as a positive character because he is white in color, also because he is somewhat helpful. Although he is shy and nervous he does not do anything that would make him be considered a negative character. I would say he is somewhat of a mediator, neither positive nor negative. The White Rabbit is significant in the story of Alice in Wonderland in order to understand Alice more (From Alice on Stage). Most unique of them all is the Cheshire-Cat. When Alice first comes across the Cheshire-Cat he is in the house of the Duchess and is grinning very widely. From the way he is first described I thought that he was going to be a negative character in the story. His grin seemed some what villainous and because he was mysterious led to the conclusion he was a negative character. After the book goes on the Cheshire-Cat is very calm and sensible in the mad world of Wonderland. He helps Alice when she need someone to talk to and when she has questions about Wonderland. The Cheshire-Cat is the most knowledgeable about Wonderland and fits right in when it comes to craziness (Spark Notes from Alice in Wonderland). Queen of Hearts. Some of the other characters have their moments of rudeness or snappy ways but none of them can be identified as complete negative characters esides the Queen of Hearts. When we first meet the Queen she comes into the yard yelling orders at everyone and being very rude. From the beginning you can tell that the Queen has anger and fury within her. Because she is red in color she can be identified as negative. Red usually has a bad connotation and is usually associated with anger and fire or fury. She makes irrational decisions, most of them affecting everyone but herself. Everyone in her court is afraid of her because she is known for prosecuting and beheading anything and anyone who gets in her way (From Alice on Stage). Of all the characters in Alice in Wonderland the Queen of Hearts and Alice are the most significant. I would not say that in this story there is a hero or villain, but Just positive and negative characters. A lot of the characters in the story were middle characters that had no sense of good or bad, they were Just mad. Everyone in Wonderland was mad, including Alice, that is why she ended up in Wonderland. Lewis Carroll defined each character using their personalities. The Queen of Hearts impatient, loud, and obnoxious and Alice is curious, sensible, and has a sense of uperiority.

The Problem: Rewrite Mania I have been noticing a certain trend in software toward rewriting successful tools and standards. It seems that programmers always have the urge to make things better, which is perfectly understandable - after all, this is the primary trait of the engineer's mind (although I also think that artistic creativity also enters in the mix). Why should things stay static? Surely progress is good, and if we just stayed in the same place, using the same versions of tools without improvement, then things would deteriorate and generally get pretty boring. That's all very true, but what I am seeing is that in many cases we have tools which truly are "good enough" for what they are designed to do - TCP/IP allows us to build giant, interconnected networks, Apache lets us build flexible web servers, Perl lets us write incomprehensibly obfuscated code(!)... well, point being, these things work. Really, outstandingly well. They are "good enough", and moreover they are used everywhere. So all's well and good, right? Well, not exactly. The programmers add little bits and pieces here and there, fix lots of bugs, and over time the code starts to look distinctly messy - and with the insights gained from this "first version" of the application (I don't mean V1.0, but rather the overall codebase) the developers start to think about how it could be "done right". You know, now they know how they should have done it. Fired with new zeal and enthusiasm, the developers embark on a grand rewrite project, which will throw out all the old, stale, horrible, nasty untidy code, and construct reams of brand new, clean, designed, and, uh, buggy, incompatible, untested code. Agricultural exports of primary products constituted 10. 4% of total exports of the country in 1997-98. In the past decade, the agriculture sector contributed about three percent per annum to the annual economic growth rate. The agriculture sector is the single largest contributor to income and employment generation and a vital element in the country’s challenge to achieve self-sufficiency in food production reduce rural poverty and foster sustainable economic development. The Government has therefore accorded highest priority to this sector to enable the country to meet these challenges and to make this sector commercially profitable. Agriculture has been playing a vital role in socio-economic progress and sustainable development through upliftment of rural economy, ensuring food security by attaining autarky in food gains production, alleviation of poverty and so on.
